Muslim Holiday (nationally)

Today was a Muslim holiday and national holiday. I thought I would get the day off. Boy was I wrong, Numerien had us all early at work. I got a big job the do. Well I can’t complain for having to work today as I learned so many new things.

This morning Gisenyi looked as if it was a Muslim town only. Hundreds of Muslims were on their way to the mosque at 7:30 in the morning. I didn’t know there were so many Muslims in Rwanda. I need to check the religious statistics urgently because Numerien is Catholic and Jean de Dieu the bookkeeper Protestant and now I see many Muslims. I wasn’t aware of this. I thought this was a predominately Catholic country. I might be wrong. I should have known this as I hear the mosque prayers every day at 4 AM. Jean de Dieu told me that Muslims here are very rich. I asked him why he thinks that ? He said because they own all the for exchange agencies. Aha… I guess dealing with money makes your rich. I need to go check their commissions to find out this statement is true.
