1. What do you do when not working?

I love spending time with my son and I enjoy going to Yoga, CrossFit, KravMaga and love fashion.

2. What is your ethnicity?

My father is Belgian (Belgium) with Indonesian roots and my mother is Nigerian.  Technically, I am like a panda – Black, White and Asian.

3.  What is your full name?

Francine GIFT Carron.

4. What is your nationality?

I am a dual citizen of Belgium and Nigeria but nationalities don’t mean anything to me. I consider myself a Global Citizen.

5. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Belgium (Antwerp) and Houston, Texas (USA).

6. Where did you go to school? 

I graduated from Antwerp Management School with an Advanced Masters in Global Management. I held my Master of Science in Political Communications at the University of Antwerp. In 2004, I graduated with a Bachelor in International Affairs from Vesalius College, Brussels when it is was still an American Liberal Arts college affiliated with Boston University, the Open University and the Free University of Brussels. I went to High School in League City, Texas and attended Clear Creak High. I received a NCAA Div.I Track & Field Scholarship and completed my freshman year in Political Science at Lamar University in Beaumont Texas.

My Bachelor thesis covered the Role of Elites in Liberia before the Civil War. 

My Master thesis Quantitatively Analysed Web 2.0 (social media) in the Fourth Pillar of the Flemish Development Aid. My research was used by Prof.Dr. Leo Van Audenhove and PULSE research assistant Chris Vleugels in their research on the use of new media in youth development aid. 7. Where were you born?

I was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

8. What else languages besides French, Dutch and English do you speak?

I understand German and I can read Spanish. I would love to learn Arabic or Mandarin.

9. What countries did you work in?

India, Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, France Czech Republic, and Morocco.

The list of countries travelled to is too long. I am a globetrotter.

10. Describe yourself?

On a personal level I am a fun loving mother and professionally I am an active team player that is able to provide suitable solutions to many different problems. My key word is RESILIENCE.
